New to JIRA administration. Company uses JIRA for most work.
We have a pre-existing project (company-managed) which I have created three boards for.
The problem is, when I create a new ISSUE, that issue shows up on all three boards.
I have a feeling I'm missing something really simple.
What I'm looking to do is have ISSUES that are only shown on each individual BOARD (even though all three boards are within the same PROJECT.
Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.
Hi @Greg Bellan, welcome to the community!
To show different issues in the boards, you'll need to configure the filters for each board.
In that case, you will probably want to figure out what differentiates those issues, e.g. Issue Type, Version, Components etc.
Here is the documentation on how to edit board filters: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/configure-filters/
I hope that helps,
Cheers,
Melo
Hi @Greg Bellan and welcome to the community!
This likely means that you haven't segregated the board filters. Each board should have a corresponding unique filter.

You say "The problem is, when I create a new ISSUE, that issue shows up on all three boards. "
Boards are not containers for issues (projects are). Boards are a view of a selection of issues.
Your three boards are configured to look at similar sets of issues, ones that match things you are putting on the new issues. My best guess is that all three boards say "project = XYZ", so you're always going to see all the issues in that project in all three boards.
