Hi,

We were hoping to have users follow a certain process when it comes to creating/modifying web pages.

The stages are:

1 - Consultation (provide initial documents that will be coded for the web, estimate timelines)

2 - Provide final documents and set deadlines

3 - Build

4 - QA

5 - Publish

The person has to complete step 1 before going to step 2, and so on.

I was wondering what is the best way to do that in JIRA.

Thanks!

You can add counters in a workflow and more specific statuses.

Focusing on 1 and 2 for example.

Statuses : Pending Consultation, Consultation In Progress, Consultation Completed

Upon reaching Consultation Completed, you change the Counter to 2 which gets validated for the next set of statuses

Statuses : Pending Final Documents and Set Deadlines, Submitted Final Documents and Set Deadlines

Upon reaching Submitted Final Documents and Set Deadlines, you change the Counter to 3 for the next steps... and so on.

Thanks Marc and my apologies for the delay in answering back. I was hoping I would try your suggestion before replying, in case I had more questions, but it seems it will take me longer to apply this as I'm still learning.

Thanks again for your help!
