Hi dear Jira team,

I've got an issue while trying to archive my project in Jira.

According to the instructions in this article https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/archiving-a-project-938847621.html I have to open my projects list, find a project I want to archive, click on .... to open the options that are available for this project and select "Archive". I tried to do the same in my project but I do not have such list of options as you describe in the article. I only have the option "Project settings" which does not inlude the possibility to archive the project. I have admin rights in the project.

Please provide the info about the issue and please explain the reason why I do not see the options that are desribed in the manual.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

The most likely explanation is that this feature is specific to Jira Data Center, and you're likely only using Jira Server or Jira Cloud.   At the top of the article you cited there is a note about this:

Project archiving is available for Jira Software Data Center and Jira Service Desk Data Center. To archive projects in Jira Server, see this kb article.

If you are in fact using Jira Data Center, then the other possibility is that you're using a version of Jira before the 7.10.0 release which introduced project archiving.  More details in the Jira Software 7.10 release notes.
