Problem with delegated user directory and internal directory

Marcin Guz

Hello everyone,

I have small problem with authentication in JIRA.

On my instance we were using internal user directory with login like: mguz

I wanted to add Delegated LDAP authentication directory method for login.

Problem is when i add this metod, internal groups do not synchronize with account, because it is creating new account named : MGuz with two capital letters on front.

I tried to copy internal database to delegated one but problem still occurs.

Edit:

I am looking for to change names of all internal accounts to ldap standars.

so i need to change internal user name form mguz to MGuz, but i cannot do it from user interface.

 any sugestions ?

Hello,

Are you sure that username in the Delegated LDAP is mguz not MGuz? They must be same.

internal users have all names with small letters like: mguz

On the ldap server everyone have 2 firs letters capital like: MGuz

I know it is not the same but i want to find way to make it same in JIRA. i cannot influence LDAP owners to change user name in Microsoft active directory.

I tryed changing names in internal directory before migration, but it still have names with small letters. How i can make it the same then?
