We have Jira Server 7.10.0.
We want migrate to Jira Cloud.

I am trying to make a migration according to the instructions https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/migrating-from-jira-server-to-jira-cloud-779160826.html

But after loading the backup archive in the Jira Cloud, I see an error:

Import error
There was an error importing file bu-8apr.zip: Validation failed. Following issues were reported:
We can’t complete your upgrade. It is an earlier version of the Jira Service Desk. Jira Service Desk 3.0 first, then export new data and try again. Read these upgrade notes for instructions: http://confluence.atlassian.com/migration/jira-7/server_jira+jsd_upgrade

At the same time, the instructions say:

If your Jira Server version is 7.6.0 or higher, you don't need to upgrade before migrating.

@Dmitry Harchenkov Please see this known issue in Atlassian's JSD issue tracker:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-4272?_ga=2.40092896.390908284.1554734189-1671602508.1532093427

You can use one of the two workarounds suggested in this issue in order to successfully import your data into JIRA cloud.

Hope it helps !

@Taranjeet Singh New workaround seemed easier to me. It works, thanks!
