Pre-Purchase Inquiry Regarding Task Privacy, Admin Access & Performance Tracking Features

We are currently evaluating your Basic Premium Plan for our company and would like to clarify a few features before proceeding with the purchase.

Our team consists of 8 members, and we intend to use JIRA  for task management and workflow tracking. We would like to confirm the following:

  1. Task Privacy & Visibility

    • If I create a group and assign a task to a specific team member (for example, Employee X), can the system restrict visibility so that only Employee X can see that assigned task?

    • We want to ensure that employees can access only the tasks assigned to them and cannot view tasks allocated to other team members.

    • At the same time, as an Admin, I should be able to view all tasks assigned to all employees, including task status such as To-Do, In Progress, Under Review, and Completed.

  2. Multiple Admin Access

    • Is it possible to add a second Admin (for example, a Manager) who would have the same administrative rights and visibility as the primary Admin?

  3. Employee Performance & Efficiency Tracking

    • Does your system provide performance analytics or reporting features that allow us to evaluate employee efficiency on a weekly or monthly basis?

    • For example, can we track completed tasks, pending tasks, turnaround time, or productivity reports?

These features are important for our internal workflow management. If the above functionalities are available under your Basic Premium Plan (or any recommended plan), we would be happy to proceed with the subscription.

Hi Keshav - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This is a user forum where users can ask questions and interact with each other. Atlassian personnel rarely monitor the site. 

That being said, I am not an Atlassian employee, but I can say that yes, a Jira Premium subscription would accomplish what you are looking for based on the limited information you have provided. I say limited because reporting is always different based on one's perception of the level of details that should be provide. Does it provide "productivity reports"? Well, not per se as an out of the box report, but you can create filters and then reports based on the filters. But that all depends, again, on what you considered to be "productivity".
