Possible to have multiple default issue type?

In JIRA/Zephyr entering a defect for a test defaults the issue type to whatever is set in Project Administration -> Issue types -> Issue type scheme. Is there a way to have it default to defect without affecting the general create issue screen?

Hello,

You can create a new issue type scheme with the required default issue type and assign this issue type scheme to this project.

Right, but that would replace the existing issue type scheme and I still would only be able to choose only one default issue type.

That is right. When you create an issue the default value is taken for the project.
