Portfolio view - not rolling up dates!

Hi, 

I need help with the Portfolio view.  My Biggest struggle is that if someone in my tema(s) adds a target start/end to either, a task, a story, a feature, team epic, etc. It does not automatically "roll up" to the next level. 

I.e. if Task 1 is from June 1st 2020 to June 5th 2020, Task 2 is from June 3rd 2020 to June 10th 2020, I would expect that the Parent Story have a Start date of June 1st 2020 and an end date of June 10th 2020 automatically. 

From there, the team epic should consider the "earlieast" start date and "latest" end date of all tasks.stories. 

When rolling up to the feature level - I expect it to "read" from the bottom down and put the dates automatically. 

And this - all the way up to the portfolio.  

I have portfolios that will span 1 ~ 2 years worth of work.  As the teams break down the features and put target start/end dates to each feature (at least) I would like to be able to get a global view of when things are going to start/end.  

I also manage well over 60+ Portfolios, so this is critical for long term planning.  

When I add a date to anything - it never rolls up.  Am I doing something wrong? do I need to enable something in the settings that I am unaware?
