We extensively make use of Plans in Jira Premium. The time line in Plans makes use of the field "Due dates" to set the end date of a work item.

Items will be part of a fix version (release). Each release can have its "Release date".

It is currently a manual process to populate the release date into the Due date field on a work item that is going to be released in a the fix version to which the item is allocated.

Besides this is a time consuming process it is prone to mistakes.

Due to the fact that Jira allows more than one fix version for an work item I understand that it is not possible to populate the Due date automatically.

We allow only one fix version for work items.

My question: Has somebody the same situation and were you able to make an automation rule to bring the Release date of the fix version to the Due date of the work item?
