Hi all,

I installed the plugin Behaviours-jira-0.4.6.jar in Jira 4.4.3 and i am having problem with read only fields in IE7.

When i tried edit the issue in Firefox the fields that i don t have permission access are showed as read only in firefox. It s perfect.

But in IE these fields are showed as writable . It s wrong. I would like that these fields were only read only idem firefox

Please do you know other way of the do this plugin works in IE7.

Note: The solution of the turn of the compatibility mode from IE was not accept here in my company .Is there any other way ?

Thanks in Advance

Best Regards

Fabio

Fabio,

There is quite a lot of info on compatibility mode here: https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/JBHV/JIRA+Behaviours+Plugin?focusedCommentId=65668197#comment-65668197 and a bug or two in the project.

Not trying to be unhelpful, but from my side, I don't intend to try to get it working with IE in compatibility mode. As far as I can tell, lots of other things are also broken in jira when in compat mode.

Also I don't and can't test in IE7, the testing matrix is too big already.

Hi Fabio,

I don't know, there is a lot of debate about this. I don't understand the rules it uses to go into compatibility mode. Maybe you can change whatever makes it choose compat mode, eg the hostname, or look at setting a meta header. Again, check jira.atlassian.com and google, I don't know much about this.

cheers, jamie
