I want to be able to display the issues in my plan, grouped by category.

This used to work fine, but I’m now experiencing a malfunction or bug.

Here’s what happens:

  • In the plan, I click on View settings and then Create a group.
  • I choose to create groups based on different values of the same property (a custom field).
  • When I create the first group, it works. I can see the issues assigned to it.
  • But when I try to add another group for a different value of the same custom field, I notice there is no button to save this new group. The creation has no effect, and I can’t create more than one group.

Hi @sylvain L ,

As far as i know this is a known limitation in Advanced Roadmaps right now. The grouping feature only supports one grouping configuration per field at a time, so after you create the first custom group, the UI doesn’t let you add another without refreshing. It feels like a bug, but it’s actually how the feature currently works.

Workarounds you can try:

  • After creating the first group, refresh the plan and then add the next group.
  • If you need more flexibility, consider using labels or components (with automation to sync values) and group by those instead.
  • For advanced grouping (multiple fields or nested groups), apps like JXL for Jira can help.

Hope tis helps!
