I am using a Kanban board to manage my web development projects. I would like to invite my client to view parts of the Jira project but with very limited access. I have tried to follow the user permission tutorials but I'm finding it very complicated!
I would like to give my client access to view a list of versions plus the issues in those versions - both unreleased and released versions.
This would be useful so he can see clearly which issues I am working on for the next release of the software.
How can I achieve this please?
@Ollie Guanthank you. I have been able to set up my permissions as I need by following your guidance and reading the documentation on this topic.
Hi @Chris Taylor,
To ensure that users can see the planned version and backlog lists ,you need to open the Browse Projects permission to these users in the project permission scheme, , as shown in the following figure.

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Thank you. You might need to wind back a few steps for the newbie please.
If I go to my project > Project settings > People > Add people I can add my client by typing his email address I guess.
Then I'm asked to choose a role but the only role available is 'Administrators' which I don't want to pick obviously.
So firstly, how can I create a role to add this new user to?

Hi @Chris Taylor,
The role is a system global parameter and needs to be configured by the system administrator.
