I have one (company managed) project, where I do not want the users to see any of my other (team managed) projects on jira.

Questions:

  1. Is is possible to create one permission scheme, attach it to one project (a), where it stops users of that project (a) to not view any other project (b & c)? How?

(I attempted to do this, removed the browse project permission scheme for the users of project a, but now they can see everything but project a..)

  1. Can I change existing team managed projects into company managed projects? will data be lost?

Thanks!

Hi @Ana Galtung ,

Welcome to the community !!

  1. You can create different permission schemes required for each projects and map it to the Company managed projects you need.
You can grant access based on project roles/groups so that users added in the project roles/groups only will be able to access tickets.
    Refer https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/manage-project-permissions/ for details
  2. If you want to move from a team-managed project to a company-managed project, your Jira admin will need to create a new company-managed project for you.
    Please refer section "
create a new company-managed project to receive your existing team-managed project issues"
in https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/migrate-between-team-managed-and-company-managed-projects/ and "Things to keep in mind if you migrate from team-managed to company-managed"

Hi @Ana Galtung ,

If you dont want other user to see your Team manage projects. You can change your Project access to private where only Admin and people you add can see the project.

Go to your project -> Project settings -> Access
