Hello,
I need some help.
It works just fine, he can only see tasks from this one project - for example with the JQL-Search.
My Problem:
The user uses the new Jira (New Design). At the top left of the screen you can search for the Jira tickets, projects, filters or even boards (= Search Box) When typing on Search Box in the autocomplete field, there are also tasks and projects that the user should not even see because he has no right to these projects.
If user clicks on a auto complete suggestion (for example: click on a task where the user does not have permission), user will see that the permission is missing, which of course has its correctness.
My question:
Does somebody know how to set permission of the search box, so that user does not see the projects in which he has no permission? Is it adjustable and if so where exactly?
It seems to me that the autocomplete results of the global search (on top left on screen) have no effect to permission...
Thanks,
Jack
Hello,
you can close this issue.
I found the cause of my problem.
I am jira admin and have always gone into the user management and logged on the function "Login as a user" to the client jira-account.
I have logged in directly with the user account of the client (email, password) and there it works. Usser sees no other projects in the search box, in which he has no authority
Greets,
