Hi everyone,
The goal is to evaluate the percentage of fast-tracks in a given month.
The "fast-track" label exists, and I should query the subtasks (not stories or epics). I need to build a simple PowerBI report that contains only this KPI per month. I should find out how the team can read from my PowerBI link to consume this KPI directly into ARIS.
I've had some thoughts on how it can be achieved, but I'm not sure if I'm moving in the right direction.
I believe a JQL query in Jira should be created to filter for issues with the "Fast-track" label and calculate the percentage of Fast-tracks by dividing the count of fast-tracks by the total count of subtasks in all existing projects. Next, I have to somehow connect Jira to PowerBI and visualize the query. I would also prefer to have a filter to display the percentage of fast-tracks in different projects. I have never done this. Maybe my approach is completely wrong. This is why I need your help with this and will highly appreciate if you guide me step by step.
PS
I use Jira Premium and have PBI pro license.
@Jack Brickey Hi Jack, can you by any chance help me with this task? I saw your old post where you mentioned that you managed t connect Jira and PBI. can you please step by step show me how to achieve it.
I have generated Jira API token.
Could you maybe step by step describe what I have to do?
Hi @BenWade , it has been a very long time since I did this. However, as I recall, it was quite straightforward. All I did was add the Jira connection pack in powerBI, and it prompted me for a URL. Here is an article that I read about this. However, it doesn't give any details. Obviously things may have changed since I last connected .

I have no idea why it won't load the data.
When I first open pbit file the window pops up to put jira url.
So I put it this way:
https://companyname.atlassian.net
Then I go to data source settings-> edit permissions-> Basic-> username(email) and password. and then I refresh the report but nothing happens.
Jira PBI content pack you can get from github.
just google: "visualize jira data in powerbi github" and in the first link you will find it.

or maybe it is possible to create such a dashboard in Jira and share it with necessary parties?
EDIT:
actually this is not an option because external users will need a jira license to see the dashboard.
