Hi! Could u pls tell is it possible to find out how much time a certain engineer spent working on a task comparing to the “Original Estimate” set in case not only this engineer logged time into this one. Basically we need list of tasks and this data by task.
e.g. A task was created with original estimate for a dev (assignee), but several people logged time into this task. We need to find out how much time a dev (assignee) spent on completing a task relative to the original estimate, but considering that others logged the time into the task??

For detailed time tracking reports if you are willing to consider a mktplace app, take a look at our add-on.
Worklogs Time Tracking & Timesheets
With this add-on, you can easily view all time entries for multiple issues day wise grouped by in a single view. Main features of the app -
The app allows you to add columns as "Original Estimate" in the screen below.

Hi @Alena Bogomaz ,
For a detailed view like this, I would recommend using one of the time trackig applications available on the Atlassian Marketplace. WorklogPro is one of these options. In the timesheet view provided by WorklogPro, you can select the user filter for a specific period, and by choosing the "original estimate" field as a column, you can compare the worklog amount recorded by a particular user for the relevant issues with the original estimate section.

Hi @Alena Bogomaz, welcome to the Community!
Your use case is very specific. Just as @Walter Buggenhout said, time-tracking apps can help you with this - not much you can do in native Jira without employing APIs and developers, which will likely turn out to be more expensive to create and maintain than just using an app. If it's a one-time thing, you can always cancel the trial
I can say how this could work with our app, Clockwork Pro. You would open a timesheet, breakdown by issue and user in this order, and add the Original Estimate column for the comparison.
It would look like this:
If I understand what you're after correctly, this meets your requirements.

Hi @Alena Bogomaz and welcome to the Community!
That is an ask vanilla Jira (out of the box) is not really equipped for to answer. It does have a built-in field called Work Ratio that nicely calculates the comparison between original estimate as a percentage, but this remains at the issue level and does not take into account who logged hours on it.
If you want to have more detailed reporting on time spent by user, that would generally require you to revert to one of many available time tracking apps or bespoke reporting tools that can leverage the underlying Jira data better. If this type of information is important to you (as it is for many organisations), this is an area where investing in the marketplace often is a very defendable choice.
Hope this helps!

Hi @Alena Bogomaz If you're using Jira's native time tracking, you're limited in what you can report on outside of using an API. If you're still considering marketplace apps, I'd recommend checking 7pace Timetracker for Jira.
We recently brought this app to Jira, although it's loved by thousands of customers in Azure DevOps and monday.com, because it's so easy to install/get started, track time in a variety of ways, and get meaningful time tracking data from -- like estimated time vs actual time on specific tasks or by team member. You can easily create and save reports for exactly this in seconds and review the data in real-time whenever needed.
If you have any questions please let me know!

Hi @Alena Bogomaz and welcome to the community!
If you're still looking for the right tol to dsiplay your desired report, then I can recommend Worklogs - Time Tracking and Time Reports, app developed by the company I work for.
The app allows you to filter time logs using Jira fields and those custom ones. In the example below, I display various tasks, their original estimate value and the users who log time in these tasks.
The app has many more features, including the ability to export data, display reports on the dashboard, permissions, etc.
If you use Jira's native time logging feature then just install the app and you are ready to generate reports.
If you have any questions regarding the app feel free to contact us here, or book a demo session here.
Kind regards,
Michał
