Hello,
I try to create issues from external email. What I did :
- crete a project for incoming issues : Tickets entrants / key: TICKETS
- adjust Issues > Mail > Incoming mails
- set Notification scheme to Tickets (system default)
- create a Google redirection from tickets@quod.ch to jira@quodsa.atlassian.net
- send an email to tickets@quod.ch
Nothing happens...
I tested the Google redirection with another account, it's ok.
What is missing ?
Thanks,
Marc
Do you have a service set up that watches your email address and retrieves mail when it finds some?
see... http://confluence.atlassian.com/x/uAESCw
Hi Marc,
I don't think you can create issues from email with OnDemand. You should be able to reply to a JIRA notification to create a comment on an existing issue, but I don't think you can create new issues.
From http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/JIRA+Administrator's+Guide :
"JIRA OnDemand includes a mail service configured to create issue comments from replies to JIRA notifications. Setting up a JIRA service to create issues and comments from an external POP/IMAP server is not currently supported."
If you manually create an issue in JIRA to trigger a notification and reply to the notification does that create a comment from the email?
Hope that helps?
Andrew.
