Hello

all other sprint issues disappeared, but are still visible in All Issues

We encountered a strange issue today that appears to have happened suddenly.

When we opened our Jira board this morning, only the issues in the topmost sprint were visible. All issues belonging to other sprints disappeared from the backlog view.

However, when we navigate to "All Issues," all of the missing issues are still present and correctly assigned to their respective sprints.

Additional information:

  • No board settings, filters, workflows, statuses, or sprint configurations were changed.
  • The issue started suddenly without any known administrative action.
  • This is not a browser cache issue, as multiple team members are experiencing the exact same behavior.
  • The missing issues still exist and can be found through issue search and the All Issues view.
  • Only the backlog/board view is affected.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Is this a known Jira bug, indexing problem, or board configuration issue that could cause only the top sprint to be displayed while all other sprint issues disappear from the board?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @정경진

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Do you still see the sprints and now they appear to contain no issues? Or are the sprints also not displaying?

Can you provide a screen image of your board showing enough detail that we can see the "top" sprint and the top of the "backlog" section? You can obscure the issue details for privacy.

What is or was the status of the sprints? Not started, Active, or Completed?

What type of space does this concern? Get the space information by clicking on the ellipsis next to the space name in the navigation panel on the left. Tell us what the last two lines in the pop-up say.

Hello,

Thank you for following up.

The issue has been resolved.

After further investigation, we found that one of our workflow statuses had become unmapped from the board columns. As a result, a large number of issues were not being displayed correctly in the Backlog view, which made it appear that sprints were empty or contained fewer issues than expected.

Once we mapped the status back to the appropriate board column, all missing issues reappeared and the sprint counts returned to normal.

Thank you for your assistance and suggestions. We appreciate your help.

Best regards,
Kyungjin Jung
