Is it possible that the main ticket can only be closed when all subtasks are closed? Because currently, for example, we can create a change/task with subtasks, but then we can close the main ticket even though the subtasks are still open. To me, that doesn't make much sense.

Hello @Antonia ,

Good day! Welcome to Atlassian Community :)

Yes, its possible via Workflow conditions. More details here: How to prevent Closing Issues with Open Sub-Tasks in Jira

You can also use automation, more details here: Automation For Jira - How to write a rule to close a parent issue after all sub-tasks have been closed

Thank you!

Hi @Shalini Pradhan

thank you for your answer. So this site How to prevent Closing Issues with Open Sub-Tasks in Jira is not available (404 error),  but I will look at the other page, thanks!
