Once ticket number SDC-999 is created, what will the following ticket number be?

Obviously could be a very simple question, but just for our pre-planning, I assume the next ticket number will be SDC-1000?

That has been my experience with regard to ticket numbering.  Numbering per project is sequential and will increase as such.  Numbers will not repeat either.  Even if issue is deleted, that number will not be used again.

Here is an article where question related to starting issue at specific number.  You can do it but it requires some database query/update to set the starting number.
