OnDemand API having access to Rank

We have to push jira items to another system for development purposes and we utilize rank to indicate relative priority. However, only global rank is available, not rank. Global rank would be fine, except that is is not the same relative rank as the actual Rank field which is populated based on how we order items on the planning board. We can have something as number 1 on the planning board, but, it will assign a global rank of 3, with two other items, on the SAME planning board above it. Consequently, the order is not relative.

Is it possible to make the Rank field instead of only the Global Rank field supported in the ondemand version's API?
