Old Jira experience not showing menu for new Jira experience

Hi,

a colleague of want's to use the new lira experience, but can't activate it, as the related menu item (mentioned here introducing-your-new-jira-experience-937886012.html) isn't shown.

Any suggestions on how to resolve that?

Kind regards

Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,

The new UI is only available for Atlassian Cloud sites.   Are you by chance using a Jira Server product? (one that is hosted either on your own server or a 3rd party)

If you are using Server, there is currently no way to utilize this new interface yet.  There is an existing feature request for this to come to Server over in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-65989 I would recommend watching this for updates.

However it is possible that you might be using a Jira Cloud site that does not have this enable. I thought all the sites had already been migrated at this point, but if you happen to have a Jira site on a atlassian.net or jira.com domain, please let me know what the URL for your site is, along with the user account that can't see this.  With this information we should be able to better investigate if there is something different with your Jira Cloud site that might cause this.

Hi Andy,

thanks a lot for the details.

We do use Jira Cloud. What I didn't mention is that for me (and a lot of other colleagues) there was a "activate-new-jira-experience" switch/button/menu-item. And I still have the "turn-it-off-for-now" menu item. So in theory the mentioned colleague should see the option to turn it on as well, right? He's in the same Jira/atlassian company-account with the same user groups etc.

I would prefer to pass you the account details not-publicly, how may I do that? =)

Thanks again!

Hi Gabriel,

Thanks for clarifying.  I have created a support request for this problem over at https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/23/JST-407757

Please comment to that ticket and let us know your Cloud URL, and the user accounts affected by this problem.  Someone from our Cloud support team can then better investigate your site to see how we can help here.

Thank you very much, Andy. The support team was able to solve the problem (on server side so to say). =)
