Notification mails getting huge delay

HI Team,

In our mail queue, around 600+ emails are there and taking so much time to send it.

Sometimes users are getting a notification after one day and this is the huge problems for us.

I have gone through the Admin --> Advanced --> services --> Mail Queue Service and here the cron job is 0 * * * * ?.

Is there anyone has faced the same problem.

Hi Yogesh,

The cron job has set to run every minute and doing its job. If the messages are getting delayed means it could be a problem at your mail server side. Can you check if you have any message threshold setup so that your mail server only accept xx number of emails to be sent per hour / day. What kind of SMTP mail server you use? Corporate mail server or Gmail or local SMTP server setup on JIRA server itself? Did you see any errors in the queue for latency? Did you try sending a test email to yourself and see any delay in receiving? Some email providers put some restrictions on number of emails being sent in a day for one account. Please check if this is your case. You can contact your mail admin on this issue and further assistance.

What kind of SMTP mail server you use? Corporate mail server or Gmail or local SMTP server setup on JIRA server itself?

We are using corporate mail server.

I have gone through the log file and found that below errors.
