When attempting to use the Notification Helper or Permission Helper, I am unable to look up any users.  No matter what I enter for a user, it always says, "No Matches".

I have site-admin rights for JIRA.

Can anyone help with this?  These tools appear to be extremely helpful, if I can get them to work!

~Thanks!  -Jen smile

Have you got the global permission to "browse users"?

Hi Nic -

Thanks for responding!

I do have JIRA site admin rights and also admin rights to the specific project where I was trying to do this.

Things seem to be working now:

  • I'm not sure if I was misunderstanding how these tools are used or

  • Maybe something changed after I re-indexed everything or

  • I seem to have learned that I must enter the user's full username to search for them - even when I do that, there is a drop-down below the field that still always says, "No Matches", but when I complete the rest of the search parameters and click "Search", the information I need appears (strange design...)

Anyway, I think I have what I need now.  These tools will be really helpful in tracking down individual users' permissions and notifications issues.

Thanks so much for responding to my question!  ~HAVE A GREAT DAY! smile
