Hi,

My team is currently facing an issue with the Board view.

Capture d’écran 2025-12-04 à 14.58.34.png

On the "Open" columns I can only see 8 issues. If I create an issue (which will be "Open") it is never showing up in the Board view. It is stuck to 8. There is no filter applied.

I found references online about a general jql query but could not find it in my space settings.

However in the Summary view or in the List views, all cards are here.

When making the sum of all issues displayed indeed in the Board view there are 3000 issues.
But the resolved column accounts for 2790 issue.
How to hide the old resolved issues instead of hiding the newly open ones ?

The space is a Team Managed business running on Jira Cloud

Thanks

Hi @Kelyan PEGEOT SELME ,

Couple ideas: it could be that you have some statuses that are not mapped to a columne.

Click on the three dots in the right hand corner to access 'Configure columns' and then check that all of your statuses are mapped to columns.

Or it could be that you are creating subtasks that are not displaying on the Board; this is probably where those "extra" work items are coming from when you look at the Summary.

It's currently not possible to display subtasks on a board for a Team Managed project, but there are some work arounds. See https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/view-sub-tasks-directly-on-a-team-managed-jira-boards-backlog/

Next, if your board is displaying finished work items for too long, click on the little configuration button (in between Group:Status and the 🔄 icon) and you'll be able to set how long completed work remains visible on the board

Thanks @Laura Campbell for your answer!

There is no 3 dots buttons on top of our board.

However when reading your answer I discovered something in our board.

The column "Resolved" was blue (considered as in progress by Jira). As a result, the setting "hide done work items" had no effect. I changed it to green (considered as done and Jira), and everything went back in order !

Now older tickets of Resolved columns are hidden in the Board view and new tickets in the Open column are being displayed again

Thanks again for the hint
