I am relatively new to Jira. We have been using it for project management in operations. Today I logged in, and only 6 cards were appearing in my "done" column on board view. However, If I switch to list view I can see 20 cards in the "done" category. I need these cards to appear in board view. How can I get them to show back up rather than just 6 random cards? For reference, all of them were appearing in board view prior to today

Hi @Alex Kemple

How old are the issues in "Done"? Are any over 14 days old?

It looks like you're using a Jira Work Management Project, based on the List View. If yes, this help page confirms...

You’ll only be able to view a done item in the Done column for 14 days of it being moved there. After 14 days, the board will omit the item. You’ll still be able to see it in the list, timeline, and calendar view.

There's no way to modify this for JWM Projects right now, although there is a feature request you could vote for - check out JWMCLOUD-19

The alternative is to either...

  • Create a Company-managed Software Project instead, and use the Kanban Board, which can be configured to show "done" issues for more than 14 days.
  • Just create a Software Kanban Board and filter for your Work Management Project, and use that feature. Note though that this is a workaround, and the board cannot be linked directly to your JWM Project.

Hi @Alex Kemple

If the board you using is a Kanban then probably this may caused due to the "Hide completed issues older than" function to disable it go the board settings (configure board under the 3dots) > General > Hide completed issues older than (it will at the bottom) > in the drop down select Never mind show all.  This should show all the completed issues in the board as well

Thank you
