Not able to move my stories to epic as well as to a sprint

Hi,

I have created set of user stories which I want assigned to different epics. When I try to drag and drop a user story to its relevant epic, I get a notification that epic is successfully assigned but there is no change in the issue count in the epic.

Same issue I face when I try to move a story from backlog to a sprint. The story gets moved to relevant sprint but if I refresh the view, the story disappears from the sprint and re-appears in the backlog.

I am using JIRA admin permission to access the product.

Any suggestions, what could be going wrong?

Hello Pankaj,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Can you please confirm if you are using next-gen projects? Are the Stories you are trying to add in the same project of the Epics?

There are some bugs that can be causing the Sprint behavior you mentioned, like the ones below:

Unable to add issues to sprint on Next-gen projects

Unable to rank and add issues to sprint on Next-gen projects

Both bugs above were fixed recently, so you can still be facing it until the fix deploys for your site.I recommend you to check if you are facing one of the scenarios described on the bugs.

About the Epic behavior, I was not able to reproduce or find anything related to it. The only thing I noticed is that Epics from next-gen projects cannot be linked to stories of a Classic project.

Can you please give us a step-by-step that you have performed to reproduce it?

We will be waiting for your answer.
