I have 86 issues (Stories, Dev tasks, Design tasks) in my release.

As per the Dashboard all of them show as Done and 0 as 'Issues in Progress' and 0 'Issues to Do'.

When i click on the release button (top right corner), a popup shows as 13 issues still to be resolved. It gives options

1. Move issues to version

2. Ignore and release

I am not able to figure out the unresolved issues here.

It sounds like you have issues marked as Done that don't have their resolution set. You shouldn't be able to move an issue to done without going through a transition that either presents the user with a screen to set the resolution or has a post function that sets the resolution behind the scene.

The field is normally presented on a transition screen for the user to pick. It is ALWAYS required when presented so it should never be put on the the create or edit screens. You need to modify the workflow to present a screen with the resolution field during the transition to done or set it with a post function.

To fix your immediate problem the simple solution is to modify the edit screen to include the resolution fields and use the bulk edit function to modify all the issues without the field set. Then REMOVE the resolution from the edit screen and implement the fix in my first paragraph.
