No able to delate status

When I'm trying to delate status "3" in my project I get info "Status cannot be removed as there are issues currently in this status" But where I'm trying to filter issues by that status jira is serving me issues with status "In progress"

Hi @Sylwia Urbanek , welcome to the Community. Where are you attempting to delete that status? Statuses are global in that they can be applied to all projects. If you wish to truly delete the status then you do so here - Jira settings > Issues > Statuses. Now you will need to have system admin permissions and you need to be sure this is what you wish to do for all projects. If you simply wish to remove for a single project then look at your workflow and see if the status is floating there - Project settings > workflows and edit the associated workflow. Finally, as the error states you need to ensure no issues exist in that status and if the do transition them to some other status.
