NextGen project: how to add a parent issue (initiative like) to an epic

Hi, 
I could not find a way to add a parent field to an epic to have another hierarchical layer on top of the epics. When using Portefolio for Jira, it is called an initiative but it looks like Portefolio is not supported in NextGen projects (but a nextGen project can be a source of a portefolio plan ... wired)

Does anyone have an idea?

Hello,

You can have only 3 levels of hierarchy: Epic -> Task -> Subtask. You can read it here:
