NextGen KanBan - Is it possible to create an epic via API?

Hello community,

I am currently setting up a KanBan-Board to manage multiple projects within my team. We are planning to do one project as one epic. Each project is roughly the same (depending on the details) and I would like to automate the creation of a new project. I was thinking it might be possible to use the API to create a new epic with a certain set of standard tickets. Does anyone know if thats possible for next gen projects?

Thanks for reaching out, and currently for Next-Gen projects the create Epic is not avaliable at this time.  We recently added in options for creating issues in the epic or adding issue to an epic that already exists via this feature request, but the creation of the epic itself is not yet possible, and we have the following Developer Blog post discussing the roadmap for Next-Gen Api as well as the following Epic tracking the API related features in the works as its child issues:
