I have one Next-gen project with a board that was auto-created on it. I want to close this board (everything on it is 'done') and then create a second new board.
I do not see a way to create second board.
Is multiple boards feature not available on Next-Gen projects yet? Seems like a very basic 'MVP' feature. Or maybe is it not available on free Jira Cloud ?
EDIT: the last reply by @Jack Brickey shows directions to create a board. Although, as noted in my last comment, there are issues with the workflow and result that make it less useful.
Hi @Su Da , welcome to the Community. You don’t close boards. Issues are displayed on boards and progress across left to right. So new issues created should appear on the board once created, unless you have a Backlog board In which case the appear there first. The Don issue can or will be aged off the board.
How does 'Age off' work ? I've never heard of it. I'll look , but any link to doc on the feature?
In my limited experience, I've seen people generally create new board, in part to preserve the historical board state(s).

First let me reset a bit here because I see this is NG. With NG, issue that are in the Done status for 14d will disappear from the board, or should. Note you can certainly create a new board for you NG project if you want but you will need to set the Location to your profile and create a shortcut on the sidebar of the project. But you don’t need to create a new board as they are intended (especially in NG) to be an ongoing solution.

If issues disappear after 14d, it's desirable to have this day limit customizable. To keep 'done' items on board for 14days is too long for many projects.
Secondly, you said "you can certainly create a new board for your NG project" ==> my original question was about that, since I do not see the way to do that.
If a single board and issues dropping off of board by again is intended to be ongoing solution, will there be a something akin to 'snapshot', to preserve board state at point-in-time?
Thank you for quick response. Although it doesn't help me with my problem yet, I see possible solution with issue 'aging'.

I'm not 'Accpet'ing yet, because I've not seen the way to create a new board yet.
The alternate solution suggested (age off) will partly provide what I'm looking for . I still need to make it work (wait 14 days for issues to disappear from board)

To create a new board:
this should create a new board for you.

That worked ...kinda.. sorta..
Thanks, @Jack Brickey !!
Phew ... un-intuitive workflow . Even finding the 'Boards view' link is hidden at the bottom of the 'search' page which is really odd placement.
Not to mention .. the new board doesn't show up 'under' the new project, which defeats the purpose of the board in first place.
It looks like next-gen projects don't support boards (probably other features too).. making them less than functional for use.
