Next-gen project and portfolio

Next-gen project epics are not recognized as epics in portfolio. Similarly next-gen story that are assigned to an epic in next-gen are seen as story without parent in portfolio. Any way to fix that?

You can check the following feature request: As a Portfolio for Jira user, I want Portfolio to support next-gen projects, a workaround is suggested in the sub-task Add support for EPICs from Next-Gen projects into Portfolio.
