I use the next gen projects. I would like to use the time tracking feature. I added the time tracking fields into my issue types and saved that. Nevertheless, the time tracking fields do not appear on my issue view. What could be the problem?
Hi Benedikt,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
I tested on my local environment and the time tracking is working when adding on a next-gen project.
When we add the field in the issue type it will show like this on the left side:
And then after adding the time, it will show the logged and estimated:
Just for a better understanding of the issue, can you please let us know what is the project type (Kanban or Scrum)?
Is it happening on all issue types?
Regards,
Angélica
Hey. We are using the scrum boards. I tried to add to all issue types but the Time Tracking field does not appear in the first place.

I tested now using a scrum project and it shows the time tracking normally.
Would it be possible to send us a screenshot of the fields of the issue type?
Note that, it's necessary to add the time tracking on the Context fields and it's necessary to save the changes. I'm telling that because when we add fields on a classic project, it's not necessary to save the changes for the fields to be added.
Also, can you create a test issue type with few fields and create a ticket to test?

Thank you for the screenshot.
The only difference I see is an icon next to the description and context fields. Are you using any add-on on this project?
Have you tested creating a new issue type?
If possible, can you create a brand new next-gen project just to test if the time tracking will show correctly?

We used Automation for Jira and Slack. I enabled and uninstalled automation for Jira. Tried it but it didn´t work.
I tried creating a new issue type and a new project. Both didn´t work.
Its weird. I also manage an other Site. It is working their. :(

The worklog in the user story footer is also not displayed. is their a way to manually enable time tracking on a site?

Hi Benedikt,
To further investigate the issue, I'll create a ticket with our support, so they can access your instance in order to check what is causing the issue.
I just need to confirm what is the affected instance, I see that you are site-admin on both.
As community is public, we won't post any private information, so to confirm what is the affected instance, please let me know if is the one that starts with BL or DR, then I can add the correct URL on the ticket.

Angélica

Thank you for the confirmation. The ticket was created and you should have received a notification with the ticket number. Soon someone will contact you and will check the instance to find what may be causing the issue.
I added a summary with the information from this question and the link, so they can check the screenshots.
