Dear Community,
I would like to ask if there is any possibility to add a section in swimlanes in Kanban dashboard. In managing defects, there is a demand coming to differentiate and classify the issues by the Reporter. It is feasible via queries, but not practical in daily usage.
For now, it is available to choose swim-lanes group by
1. Queries
2. Stories
3. Assignee
4. Epic
5. Project.
Seemingly the Kanban page can be managed like "structure" feature in which various grouping options are given based on the fields in the ticket. However, could you please have a look if "Reporter" option could be added for now? Thank you.
Best Regards,
Arslan Anwar
Hi @Arslan Anwar,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Unfortunately the Jira board does not support swimlanes or grouping by "Reporter".
But you could search on Atlassian Markeplace for an app (plugin) that provides such functionality.
If you consider the option of using a plugin and if you need this for visualization, you could try the Team Wallboard gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app.
This gadget can display the contents of an agile board or filter/JQL, and offers an option to display swimlanes by Reporter.
The result will be displayed like this, every reporter having their own swimlane:
Hope this helps.

Hello @Arslan Anwar ,
Welcome to the Community !
In JIRA boards, you can't directly group issues by the "Reporter" field in the standard board view. The "Group By" functionality typically allows grouping by Assignee, Status, Priority, or other similar attributes, but not by the Reporter. However, you can achieve similar results using JXL for JIRA (example), a spreadsheet/table view app that allows grouping by any field, including Reporter.
Similar was asked here https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Advanced-planning-questions/Is-it-possible-to-produce-a-view-which-shows-issues-grouped-by/qaq-p/2302372
