New issue view: link issue feature not working

Hi

I've recently created a new board on Jira and from this new board I can not link issues anymore. I use the new Jira issue view. When I create/open an issue, the link icon does appear next to the paper clip but when I click it nothing happens.

I've tried deactivate the feature and reactivate it, I checked all the authorizations etc. Everything seems to be set up correctly...

The only thing I tried that actually worked was to revert to old issue view.  

It's weird because on my other board the link feature works just fine with the new view. 

Please help!

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
I've searched for similar tickets and recent bugs but didn't find anything that could help us.
Can you please open the developer tools and then click on the icon to check if it will show any error?
Have you tested using another browser or incognito mode?
Is there any other user facing this issue on the same board?
If you link an issue using the old view, does it show normally on the same ticket if you open it on the new view?
