Hi, thank you for your response. I want to explain my issue clearly.
I am using Scrum, and I created a new board for a new sprint. The problem is that my Done column on the new board is showing all the completed tasks from the old board, even though those tasks belong to previous sprints.
What I want is for the Done column to be empty on the new board, and only show new tasks that I complete going forward. I still want the Done column to exist, but I do not want the old completed tasks to appear there.
My backlog does not show completed items. Only the board shows them. When I go to Board Settings and then Columns, I can see the Done status and other statuses mapped. My project uses only one workflow, so all statuses are shared and I cannot separate old Done tasks from new ones.
I want to know how to make the new board show only new completed tasks in the Done column, without showing all the old Done tasks from previous sprints.
How can I set up my board or filter to achieve this?
Thank you.
Hello @Precious Udofia
When you say you created a new board, how did you create that new board? Did you create and save a Filter to select work items, and then create a new board based on that filter?
The board will include all the work items that match the filter. For a Scrum board, it will include all the future and active sprints that have been associated to those work items.
If a sprint has been Completed and the work items were or are in the Status mapped to the right-most column of the board, then the work items should not be displayed in either the board or the backlog for a Scrum board.
If you have changed which Status is mapped to the right-most column of the board, that can affect the display of the issues.
Do any of the items that are incorrectly displayed include Sub-tasks that are not in the status mapped to the right-most column of the board?
Can you provide some screen images as follows?
Hi, thank you so much. I was able to figure it out with the help of the filters you mentioned, thank alot I really appreciate it.

Hello @Precious Udofia
You can configure your board to only show the tasks that are in progress by changing your filter. Since you've mentioned the backlog, I assume you are using Scrum?
