A client is asking us to setup a new JIRA Coud instance for their company, with me as the Admin.

I'm unable to create a new JIRA account with my email, because it's already associated to our company JIRA instance.

But from what I read in the community, nothing prevent to have the same email associate to 2 JIRA instance.

Anyone can help ?

Thanks

Hi @Steven Dion ,

as @Trudy Claspill mentioned, every email address will only be associated with one Atlassian account. However, you can have multiple Jira instances associated with your Atlassian account.

How did you try to create a new instance? Here's how it works for me:

  1. Visit https://www.atlassian.com/try/cloud/signup?bundle=jira-software&edition=free to start a new Jira Software instance

  2. Atlassian prompts you to select an existing site, but you can still select start a new site

  3. You can then enter the name of your new instance and proceed.

I hope this helps. If not, please let us know the error you're facing. A screenshot or the actual error message might help.

Cheers,
Matthias.

Hello @Steven Dion

According to this post:

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Two-Jira-account-on-the-same-email-address/qaq-p/1712250

... you can't create two Atlassian accounts with the same email address because your email address is your Atlassian Account Login, but you can have one Atlassian Login that gives you access to multiple Jira instances.

I've never done that before, so I can't offer any advise, but perhaps @Dirk Ronsmans  or @Jack Brickey (who responded on that other post) can.
