Hello,
I got an information that from September 2026 there will be data limits in Jira.
For our team, the most important ones are:
Permission Grants: Maximum 50 users/space roles/groups per permission
Work items: 18,000,000 work items per site
Does that mean - we could not have more than 50 users and more than 18000 tasks created?
How to solve these kind of restrictions? What solutions we have?
It is not 18 thousand, but 18 million.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
You can check this documentation.

This doesn’t mean you’re limited to 50 users or 18,000 issues.
The 50 limit only applies to a single permission entry (i.e., how many users/groups/roles you assign to one permission), not the total number of users in Jira. In practice, this just encourages using groups or roles instead of adding many individual users.
The 18,000,000 work items limit is at the site level.
If you ever approach these limits, the typical approach is to simplify permission schemes (use groups/roles), and for data, archive old issues or distribute projects across multiple sites if needed.
