My next-gen project doesn't have workflow and I can not see the way to add one.

abbaco June 8, 2020

Hello,

I've a next-get project but when I go to settings->issues->workflow there is no "active" workflow. How can I add a workflow (any) to my next-get project? I can see the "Workflow" menú on project settings as the documentation said.

Thanks.

Next-gen projects do not yet have directly editable workflows, they follow the board.

See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17434 for the feature request.

My project doesn't even have a native workflow. How can I change it?

Again, Next-gen projects do not yet have workflows.

Ok, I understood that we can not change, but it has one by defaults. So I change my question: At first I could move issues from 'to-do' to 'in-progress' using smart commits linking my Bitbucket's repo with Jira. Now, I don't know why, smart commits don't work anymore then looking in Jira documentation I found that is related to workflow and workflow schema. I did't found a way to make it works again.

Do you know how to make it works again?

No, that's the point, it does not have a physical workflow.  It has a logical workflow built up from your configuration and (mostly) the columns you have on the board.

If your smart commits are failing, then it's because one of the project owners has changed the configuration of the project (probably by changing columns) such that the smart commit is no longer valid.

To make it work again, put the board back the way it was (or at least supporting the column move that the smart commit was working with), or edit the smart commit so that it matches the board again.

The board is exactly without changes, it has 'TO DO', 'IN PROGRESS' and 'DONE'. Also when I create a new branch with the name starting with "MYKEY-1_some_else" the branch is linked to the issue "MYKEY-1", the same happen with commits.

How can I check the smart commits?

I don't know, you have not told us how the smart commits have been configured.  I'd want to start with where-ever they have been set up to see how they might not be appropriate any more.
