My Jira service desk (Cloud) URL redirect isn't working.....what am I missing??

My Jira service desk (Cloud) URL redirect isn't working.  I use Route53 to manage DNS and I have verified my domain in atlasssian as a part of enabling SSO and atlassian access.  I am getting a DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN when i try to use my url which is pointing to my service desk URL.  Is there something I need to do on the atlassian side to make this work?

Unfortunately as part of our Restricted Functions in Atlassian Cloud Apps, URL redirection is not possible:

Cloud site redirects  — DNS redirection is currently not available on Atlassian Cloud. For more information or to vote on the status of this feature, view updates on or follow CLOUD-5790.

Please feel free to vote on the request linked and comment with your usage case. This will help us to gather data and explore the possibility for implementing such a feature.
