I tried logging in to my Jira space today and it has been deactivated. I don't use Jira all the time but i actively use it when i am working on a project. The last project we did was a few months ago, and there are a lot of projects that I've done for my company in the space, and it is very important for us because it contains all the details and tasks about every single project. Please, i need help recovering it.

Hi @Adekanye AbdulKabir

When you are inactive for 120 days, Jira gets deactivated automatically. If you are on free plan, I will ask Atlassian support engineer to reach out to you. If you are on Standard at least, you can submit a support ticket for your site to be reactivated.

Oh great, thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. It's a free plan space.

I've created a request for you. They should reach to you in 2-3 business days.

Hi @Adekanye AbdulKabir,

I have investigated the status of your Jira site and have some good news.

Your Jira site was deactivated due to inactivity because it had not been accessed for over 120 days. As part of our policy for Free plans, we sent notification emails on April 25, May 3, and May 17 to warn that the site was at risk. Since no activity was recorded, the site was deactivated shortly after that final notice.

However, because it has been less than 60 days since that deactivation, your data should still be available for recovery per our Track storage and move data across apps | Atlassian Support.

How to recover your site:
You should be able to reactivate the site yourself by following these steps:

  1. Log in to admin.atlassian.com.

  2. Select your organization/site.

  3. Go to Subscriptions and look for Jira under the Inactive tab.

  4. Click Reactivate.

Once reactivated, all your projects, tasks, and details should be restored immediately. To prevent this from happening again, simply ensure that at least one user logs in and views a Jira page once every few months to reset the inactivity timer.

Please let me know if you are able to see the reactivation option or if you run into any issues!

Best,
Samuil

Hi @Samuil Enchev

Thank you very much for your response. I can confirm that I was able to navigate to the subscription page and click on Reactivate, which indicated that the support team would contact me. Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,

Abdulkabir
