Hi All,

We are a big team and there are tasks, which needs to be assigned to all of the teammates. What we are struggling is, that we'd like to have a status update option for all members without creating subtask for all of us. Because it is a possibility to have the main task than have subtasks with all of the names, so everybody can change the status to "done" if they are. But we'd like to have that as creating a task assigned to the group and everybody in the group needs to hit "done" without these subtasks.

Hope it makes sense :)

Is there a possibility for that?

Thank you! :)

Hi Renata - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I understand your question - and no, that process does not makes sense. One, you probably have too big of a team and that should be broken up.  Two, you should not have multiple assignees to a single task. Three, you shouldn't try to do all of your work under a single task. You are not following Agile principles at all.

Hi John,

Thank you for your answer! I'm sorry that it isn't an option.

Although it does make sense in our team, this is what we'd need. Cannot say too much details, but imagine as if a bunch of people have the same task but with a different tool or area. We'd like to manage it under one task, but also track who did their part.

We're gonna solve it in another way, so that's not an issue. It would have been a cool feature though :)

Best,
Renáta
