We have a Project 'ABC' having multiple boards like - Board 1, Board 2 and Board 3
I usually create a new sprint in there respective boards only but, this time Sprint 25 from Board 1 and Sprint 34 from Board 2 got linked.
Editing anything gets reflected in another board and Board 1 shows 2 active sprints instead of one! I have cross checked with each ticket and none of them have been linked with wrong sprint. Epic is out of question as Epic wont effect across sprint.
Even tried to move all the tickets from Board 1 and fake sprint to backlog and deleted it but, Sprint 34 from board 2 got deleted too.
Unable to find the cause for it and to remove the fake sprint from Board 1. Please help!
Rajat,
This typically means that a ticket returned by the filter for Board 1 was placed into a sprint found on Board 2.
The reason the sprint was deleted from board 1 and 2 when you deleted it was because they are the same sprint object in the database.
Please check your board filters carefully and make sure you are not returning tickets from the Sprint you don't want on board 1.
Thanks,
Kian
I do get what your saying but if that was the case then correcting that sprint name would have resolved the issue which i have done previously.
As a said earlier no tickets have interlinked sprints (i.e wrong board sprint associated to them)
And i'm not using any filters.
How it got deleted i understood that. Since both share a common id or sprint value deleting one deletes the other.
Thanks,
Rajat

Rajat,
I want to make sure we are on the same page. Every board HAS to use a filter. That is how it knows which tickets to show in the backlog. The only way (unless there is a bug) that a sprint shows up on a board where it wasn't created was if the filter for that board is pulling in a ticket that belongs to another sprint.
Can you share any screenshots of the behavior you are experiencing?
Thanks,
Kian
