Hi all

I have installed Jira Software using installer to AWS EC2 instance.

The installation is work perfectly.

Now i have new requirements that i have to 2 Jira instances in same EC2 instance.

The instances are internal and external JIRA. Internal JIRA is for our company usage whilst external is for clients usage.

My question

1) Can create new JIRA project for above purposes ? 1 project for internal and another project for external. Can i mapping user on these projects ?

2) If point 2 , can i install 2 Jira instance in same host . Do i need different licenses ?

Thanks

  1. You can have a single instance for this.  You'll need to set it up so that people can only see the project(s) you want them to see (For example, internal users can see projects A, B and C, and external users only have access to C, D and E).  I don't understand what you mean by "mapping user"
  2. Yes, you could install 2 Jira installations.  You will need to change the port of one of them, and you'll need a separate licence for each installation.

Hi

Thanks for your explanation.

"mapping user" meaning who are internal and external users can access internal or external projects.

Thanks

Ah, ok, then it's just a case of adding them to the right Jira if there's two, or making sure they're in the right groups if you're using a single instance
