Moving Workflows, Screens, Issuetypes, Field configurations from DEV to PROD Instance

HI All,

1) Is it possible to move/promote Workflows, Screens, Field Configurations, Issue types etc from DEV to PROD instance of jira ( Both Instances having different versions ) without any App.

2) What is the best way to raise requirements for JIRA Workflows/Screens and Issuetypes ?

Please leave your thoughts on this. Quick suggestion is most appreciated!

Hello Roja,

As far as I know, you can't move configurations from one instance to another without the help of an App like Configuration Manager for instance

Regarding the best practices, it's a quite complicated subject but the biggest recommandation I could give you is keep your Workflows as simple as you can.

Thanks for the response. Noted the above suggestion.

I saw 1 plugin which is "Project Configurator " which it can import the whole project or Configurations and if we select the dropdown list of Project File type it's showing as 2 options

1) Configuration only (upload XML )
2) Complete Project ( Upload Zip )

so, we will do with the help of this app how do we take XML for Configuration and Zip file for Complete project how to take this. Please suggest me your help is hughely needed.

Exports are mostly not a one-click thing (except for very easy configurations) but need some considerations, testing and maybe even documenting how you exported in order being able to do the next time the export properly.

Have you already had a look into the extensive documentation for "Project Configurator"? It should you guide your way.
