Hi there,
i´ve got a problem that might be quite easy, but i am not used to Jira and unfortunately the only administrator to try and fix this.
We had to move some boards from one project into a completely new one to set up new permissions and other stuff. So i created a new one, basically made a clone of the old one, and migrated the boards to the new project.
But here comes the trouble. When using masks within tickets, it still has its focus on the old board, for example when it comes to versions. This is because all the tickets stayed within the old project.
So here comes my question, how do i merge those tickets into the new project? I cant take all, because they dont all belog there. So my best option would be to be able to set an option that says "merge all tickets that get targeted by board a and b from project a to project a_new.
Is that somehow possible?
Thank you for your help
Hi Michael - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What cards appear on a board is based on the filter attached to the board. So just modify the filter for each board to select only the cards you want to see there.
and if you want the issues associated w/ the new project you need to use "Move" to move them to the other project.

Hello John, thanks for your answer.
The Board shows the right issues, thats not the problem. But due to the fact that they were created in the old project some of the fields are still linked to the old one, so for example if i insert a version into the ticket, it will show this version in project_old, not project_new.
Any new ticket generated in project_new works fine.
I guess i will have to bulk change those tickets....
