Move tasks in project plan

• Tasks should be ordered from oldest to newest (top to bottom).

• The oldest tasks need to appear at the top, and the newest at the bottom.

• Currently, I’m unable to reorder or move the tasks to achieve this view.

I want to drag them up and down. Is this possible with a paid version?

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Are you using the Plans feature of Jira? Can you provide a screen image showing where you want to reorder these items?

You can change the order the items are shown in using the View options. The default order is typically Rank (the order in which items should be worked on).

There are a variety of other sort options available.

Unfortunately it is not enough for me to conclude which screen you are viewing. Can you provide a complete screen image, or provide the URL that accompanies the page you are viewing? Obscure confidential data.

That looks similar to a List view rather than a Plan view.

Whether or not you can drag-and-drop issues is dependent on the screen in which you are viewing the issues.
