Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue when using Jira with screen readers (VoiceOver and TalkBack) and wanted to ask if others are experiencing the same problem or know of a possible solution.
Within a Jira ticket, there are headings such as “Description” or “Expected Description”. The content below these headings is read by the screen reader, but I cannot navigate through the text efficiently. With longer content, I essentially have to listen to the entire section from beginning to end to find a specific piece of information.
In addition, semantic elements within the content, such as headings and lists, do not appear to be recognized or exposed as such by the screen readers. This means that, within the content sections below the headings, I cannot navigate directly from heading to heading or from list to list.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, or is there a setting or workaround that allows better navigation within these content sections?
Thanks!
