I have created two projects, each with their active sprints and sprints configured with their planned tasks. The problem arises when I rename a sprint from project X, it also renames other sprints from project Y, generating an association of unplanned tasks. The only way I found is to work with only one sprint per project, without planning the following backloged sprints.
You have created two projects with two Scrum boards
You created one sprint and started it in each of the two boards
You have subsequent sprints below the two active ones for future sprints
You changed the name of a sprint in one board and it changed the name in the other board
Can you confirm if this is Next-Gen or Classic Boards? And could you give us an example of the naming convention and how it was modified between Project X and Y?
